Quote of the week #3...

Hi all,
So as per usual I'm back with another quote for all of you. So as you may be able to tell from my past few posts I haven't exactly been going through an easy patch lately which I think is why this quote speaks to me so much. Through everything I've been sorting out and dealing with personally just being able to have friends to count on and completely let my guard down in front of has really let me recover properly and start getting back to my usual self again.
So this little quote is just to remind you how that one person you can rely on should be the one person who you can feel completely at ease with and just allow yourselves to live in the moment together an forget about any troubles you may have, even if it is just for a little while...

NOTD: 6th February...

Hi all,
So I'm back with another nail of the day for you all. And today the polish of choice is Ciate's 'Speed Dial' 023. I have been a little bit all over the place lately with studies and personal things so I needed a little brightness in my day, and so I decided to do this with nail polish.

I really love the corally orange colour of the polish and I think it really offsets the wintery weather that we've been having for the past few weeks. I also love the high quality of the Ciate polishes, they are fast becoming my favourites, and the opacity of the polishes once applied (two coats is plenty!).

The polish tends to last me around 4-5 days without chipping with a top coat, however considering I wash my hands a lot during the winter months and most polishes only last 2-3 days without chipping.

What do you guys think of this colour? do you have any favourites for brightening up a winters day?

Quote of the week #2...

So again I'm back with a quote for you guys that I have been loving this week. The following quote has really spoken to me as I have tried to take out the people from my life who were negative and put me down and have started to work to work to prove people wrong about their judgements they're before they really knew who I was.
I hope this speaks to some of you guys too and you know that you are worth it and you can all do anything you put your minds to! :)

Quote of the week...

So I have decided to start a new little tradition here on my blog. As a lover of quotes and sending my friends and family quotes all the time I have decided to share one quote a week with you guys too! I know this kind of thing isn't everyone's cup of tea but as I'm on the road right now I can see how some quotes have helped me to understand some of the hardest challenges over the past few months and years.
So for today I think that this quote will just sum up that although there is negativity surrounding us all the time we can twist it and manipulate the situation to make it a positive way to succeed at whatever we want.

What do you guys think about quotes?

Review: NARS Orgasm Blush...

Hi guys,
So again this week I'm back with a review of a well loved product in the beauty blogger world, NARS Orgasm blush. I have personally read and seen many reviews of this product but I felt adding my own opinion into the mix wouldn't do any harm.
So lets start with the packaging. I love the sleek look that all the NARS packaging has all part from the ease at which it seems to pick up dirt. When in my makeup bag you can tell it is a well loved product by the amount of fingerprints covering the lid and sides of the packaging. Although the design I love I just wish it was a little easier to clean up.
Anyway, onto the product itself. And again I have to say I love it! The blush has a great pick up onto my brush when I'm applying it and the colour payoff onto the skin give the perfect amount of colour without looking too pink for my skin tone. The pigmentation is also something amazing as with most NARS products. The little but of shimmer that is in the blush also gives a unique look to it and gives the skin a healthy glowing look that is subtle but a beautiful look.
Although their blushes aren't the cheapest out there I do feel that in the high end range of blushes out there this truly is one of the best on the market because of all the reasons said above. I have happily purchased this item time and time again and I am never disappointed in the quality of the product.

What do you think of the NARS Orgasm blush? Have you got any favourites from NARS?

Review: NARS Laguna Bronzer...

Hi all,
As an avid reader of many beauty blogs I have seen many reviews myself of the NARS Laguna Bronzer, and although when the whole beauty community tends to be in agreement on a product they are generally not wrong I decided to give it a go still a little unsure of whether I would like it.

I have to say that to be honest, I loved it. Bronzer is one step of my daily makeup routine that I rarely miss nowadays due to my love of what it does to my complexion, especially in the winter months, and over the years I have become a bit of a slave to M.A.C's 'Golden' bronzer but NARS Laguna has surpassed it my a long way.

For me, when I open a product I can immediately tell if I am going to like using it and the sleek packaging of all the NARS products just adds to my love for them. The bronzer has a large amount of product and a good sized mirror, which make it a totally practical case for travelling with. The only down side being the matte outside of the packaging can get marks on it when kept in a makeup bag.

Anyway, on to the product itself. The bronzer is a lovely fine texture, which blends really easily into makeup on the skin to give a natural glow. The nature of it's fine texture also makes it easy to apply, and pick up with a brush so a little does go a long way for someone like me who is fairly fair skinned.
The application looks natural, not cakey or too orange, which can often be a problem with bronzers and instead the colour blends in beautifully giving a lovely natural finish to a daytime or evening look, with the colour lasting pretty much all day.

Although this product isn't the cheapest bronzer on the market, retailing at around £25, I do feel that it was worth the investment as this is one of the few bronzers that I would be happy to buy again and again just purely down to the quality of the product and the amount of time one purchase would last me.

What do you guys think of NARS Laguna? what are your favourite NARS products?
