Dior Exhibition at Harrods...

Here are a few photos from my day at the Dior exhibition at Harrods. I highly recommend going to see it if you have time, the dresses are stunning and it makes for a great excuse to go up to London and spend the day sightseeing. My favourite dress from the exhibition was the dress above worn by Natalie Portman in the newest Dior add, it's even more stunning in person than in any photos I've seen...truly breathtaking that it was made by hand.

Quote of the week: #7

Hi all,
So this week I'm basing my quote around fate. Deep sounding I know but bear with me for a minute and all will become clear! So, as has been mentioned many a time on this blog in the past few months especially I have been dealing with a lot of family and personal problems that have been going on at home, which is obviously very heavy to unload onto you guys but what I haven't mentioned (or not nearly enough) was the fact that the person who helped me to get back to myself was the person who i least expected. As they were a person who I really hadn't known that long the fact that they were there took me completely by surprise and although we became a lot closer during the process we really hadn't seen a lot of each other from fall time. So it completely took me by surprise when the one person who managed to walk off my best friends train in a busy station in London during rush hour, was that very person who I had been talking to only a few minutes before, completely by chance, which of course cheered me right up.
So what does this quote have to do with it? I feel this quote just tells you to go for it, push yourself to achieve the goals that you have set yourself and really push yourself because there is a reason for everything that happens in life, just like there was a reason for that person randomly being in London at the exact time and place as I was the other day. So go out and just remember that no matter how bad life gets, everything happens for a reason and your luck will always turn around...even if like in my case it took a long time.

Healthy Habits: Healthy Berry Smoothie...

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of frozen berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and/or strawberries)
  • 1 scoop of whey powder
  • 1 Tbs. flaxseed oil
  • 1Tbs. ground flaxseed
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 pack of Stevia
  • 8 ice cubes

Blend until smooth and if needed you can add a few ice cubes to thiken it up. Make a little over sixteen ounces, so it will a good size to go cup and you can take a quick shot of the extra before you head out the door.

Quote of the week #6

Hi everyone,

So today I'm back with a new post for you all but before I begin I thought I'd share my new posting schedule which starts from the beginning of next week. So there will be three posts per week going up on the blog from Monday to Friday. These all revolving around fashion make up and healthy habits posts. Then there will also be one extra post on the weekend on the quote of the week or a challenge that I am going to be setting myself.
So onto the quote for this week. As I have mentioned all too often in recent posts I have been going through a lot of personal problems of late to do with members of my family being ill, an friendships and trust being broken by people who were very close to me.

During this time I saw this following quote and it made me realise. Although 'shit happens' and people turn out to break your trust and use you in life, your true friends and more importantly your family are always there to remind you if the good that is still there in the world and that you can do whatever you want. You should never be put of trusting everyone because one person broke your trust and it made you lose confidence. Instead you should take time to re-evaluate who is really there for you when you need them-which might surprise you!- and then eventually just move on because the only person who will be suffering from being down is you, the person who caused the harm feels nothing.
Also I know that my situation wasn't revolving around a boyfriend so some of you may question the relevance in general of this but I think the same sentiment applies to all of the people who could cause you pain by their actions, you just need one person, like a father in this case, to show you that not everyone is the same.

xx
